About Gregory R. Gillespie
I was born in Buffalo, New York in 1934. In the ensuing years I have lived in California, Nevada, New Hampshire, and back into New York. My occupations have been many, thirty five by last count, but since the time of my earliest years, I have always been drawn to writing and cooking. Which comes first, I can not say. I try not to be traditional in anything I do. The ebook “Outrageous Cookies” is an example, and a way of my life.My first experience with cooking goes back to my sixth year of life while in school in Buffalo, New York. There I was taught how to make and value refrigerator cookies. My experience with writing retreats to my nine year. In those dark days I used a typewriter, and worked out a two page story filled with dirty words. These I sold in the school yard for a nickel each. Since those early year I have continued exploring the ways of life in both of those experiences.
Now in my twilight years when most men would think about settling down, I can only think of what I might or where I go might go from here. What lays ahead I have no idea, but with my explorer nature, I am always willing to find out. I do know, because of the fiction books I am currently working on will be keeping me busy for some time to come. As of this moment, I have had published forty-three cookbooks books and one fiction novel. The cookbooks have sold two million copies worldwide, and in several languages. The one fiction novel published in 1995, and was titled, “Night of Power.”
I am not saying I my fiction books are good or great. They weren’t written to be. They were written to be read and hopefully enjoyed. Fortunately every feedback I have had, has been in the positive. I end by saying my books [ebooks] are for the reading and enjoyment of the story, not for the mastering of the English Language.
